Celebrating women in the workplace

The dynamic work environment we have built here at KOKO is something we are immensely proud of. Our diverse work force is comprised of individuals from different backgrounds, allowing us to have a more holistic and inclusive outlook on the work we do. We especially focus on women’s empowerment and encourage our female staff through events that focus on their needs and celebrate their contributions.

In the recent past, our female staff have had the opportunity to engage in exciting events that have helped foster connections and develop a stronger sense of community, and also inform them of their rights in the workplace.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment awareness session
Creating a safe and respectful work environment is crucial for the well-being and success of all employees. The KOKO Management conducted a prevention of sexual harassment awareness session to ensure a respectful workplace. This session educates employees on recognizing, addressing, and preventing sexual harassment, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and support. It empowers women by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to navigate any challenges they may face, while also encouraging open dialogue and establishing a zero-tolerance policy for harassment.

Nature hike
Encouraging female staff members to organise a nature hike is an excellent way to promote inclusivity and provide a platform for our staff to develop more meaningful connections with each other. In October 2023, some of our female staff visited Indroda Park in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Indroda Park is known for its amazing fossil and dinosaur museum, one of only two in the country, and provides an informative look into the past. This event not only allows female employees to connect with nature but also provided them the opportunity to connect with each other in a non-work environment. ​

All Women’s Meet 
To celebrate our female workforce and their contributions to KOKO’s success, the female staff was treated to a special outing at an uptown restaurant. The relaxed and informal atmosphere, coupled with some fun activities and games, helped build a stronger sense of camaraderie and belonging among themselves. The get-together had the added advantage of fostering the exchange of ideas and perspectives, allowing them to amplify their voices in the organisation.
