Board members witness operational excellence and team spirit during factory visit

On the 29th of January, 2024, we were delighted to welcome the KOKO Board of Directors and Executive Management Committee for a half-day visit to our factory. This event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our most recent production process and safety improvements, recognise the talent and dedication of our team members, and facilitate an exchange of ideas between group leaders and factory staff.

The visit started with a short briefing from the Managing Director of KOKO Manufacturing on progress at the plant since the Board’s last visit, including milestones related to ramping up of production, cost reduction, safety performance, and ISO 9001:2005 Quality Management certification.  

The visitors were then toured through the plant, giving them insight into our production, assembly, and testing operations. They were informed of major new projects underway, including the semi-automation of our Canister assembly line, and then treated to an authentic Indian meal in our staff canteen.

The visit culminated in an awards ceremony where our Group Chairman recognised the exceptional commitment, innovation, and problem-solving skills of the following colleagues:

• Mr. Suresh Nair, Mr. Hitesh Jhanwar, Mr. Tejas Shah, Mr. Sudheer Kumar and Mr. Hardik Pandya for having completed 5 years of service with KOKO, essentially being with the factory since its inception. 
• Mr. Guddu Kumar, Mr. Sohil Sipai and Mr. Nitin Valand for winning the “Quality Quiz”, and 
• Mr. Ankit Parmar, Mr. Krunal Nayi, Mr. Abhijeet Vishwakarma and Mr. Sohil Sipai (again) for their excellent “Quality” posters. 

The engagement, warmth, and recognition of the Board greatly strengthened our bond with KOKO and redoubled our commitment to keep improving manufacturing quality, efficiency, and scale in the year ahead.
